Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Thank you for considering publishing your study in the Indian Journal of Law (IJL). To guarantee a smooth and uniform submission procedure, we respectfully request that authors prepare their submissions according to the following standards.

Please submit your work in Word format and in accordance with the formatting guidelines given.

Manuscript Formatting:
Font: Times New Roman
Font Size: 12 points
Line Spacing: 1.5
Page Size: A4
Margins: 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides

Title Page:
The title page should include the full title of the manuscript, the names of all authors, their affiliations, and email addresses.
Indicate the corresponding author and provide their contact details.

Abstract:
Provide an informative abstract of not more than 250 words.
Summarize the key objectives, methodology, results, and conclusions of the research.

Keywords:
Include a list of 3 to 5 keywords that accurately reflect the content of the manuscript.

Main Text:
Clearly organize your manuscript into sections such as Introduction, Literature Review, Methodology, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, and References.
Ensure that your text is well-structured and logically presented.

Citations and References:
Use the APA/ ILI citation style for in-text citations and references.
Ensure that all sources cited in the text are listed in the References section, and vice versa.

Tables and Figures:
Number tables and figures consecutively and provide informative captions.
Place tables and figures within the manuscript at appropriate locations.

Plagiarism Check:
Before submission, authors are advised to conduct a plagiarism check to ensure originality.
The Indian Journal of Law maintains a plagiarism threshold of under 15%.

All submissions will undergo a thorough peer-review process.
Authors will be notified of the review outcome, which may include revisions based on reviewer feedback.

Copyright and Ethics:
Authors are responsible for ensuring that their work is original and properly cited.
By submitting to the Indian Journal of Law, authors grant permission for publication.

This licence allows users to copy, distribute, transmit, and remix the content. Please provide proper credit, link to the licence, and mention any modifications. Non-commercial The content cannot be used for commercial reasons.
