The protection of refugees is a critical concern in international human rights law, as conflicts, persecution, and environmental changes displace millions of people worldwide. This paper reviews the recent developments in international human rights law that have strengthened the protection of refugees, while also examining the challenges that persist in ensuring their safety and rights. By analyzing key treaties, conventions, and judicial decisions, the paper explores the evolving landscape of refugee protection and highlights the gaps and obstacles that still need to be addressed. The analysis emphasizes the need for a more cohesive global response, stronger enforcement mechanisms, and enhanced cooperation between states to effectively protect the rights of refugees.
