This paper examines the evolution of privacy rights in the digital era through a comparative analysis of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). By exploring the key principles, scope, and enforcement mechanisms of these regulations, the study highlights their impact on data protection and consumer rights. The analysis provides insights into how GDPR and CCPA address contemporary privacy concerns and their implications for future privacy legislation.
